Join Putnam County Service Unit for G.I.R.L. Derby 2019! Girls will create their racing car at home and bring it to the event to race against other girls. Please ask your leader for a list of complete rules and specifications for cars.
Awards will be given for first - fifth place finishes.
Additionally, optional "fun awards" will be given for the following: best theme, best Girl Scout spirit, most sparkles, funniest, Best in Show.
Tagalongs (siblings of Girl Scouts) and Girl Scout leaders are also welcome to race cars during Tagalong Derby and Leader Derby.
Tagalongs Derby will award first-third place finishes.
Leaer Derby will award first-third place finishes.
This is a free family event, but everyone racing a car must pay the $5 racing fee. Girl Scouts will also recevie a fun patch and Tagalongs will receive a racing certificate.
Event will be held in the gymnasium at Forrest Budetee. Check in starts at 4pm. Cars must be docked and ready to race at 4:30. Boy Scouts will be providing optional concessions for purchase, with those proceeds going to help fund a future camping trip.
